THE  STORY

RACHEL MERKLE | FOUNDER AND CEO

OUR TEAM

An accomplished and formally educated designer, Rachel Merkle established District M Creative after several years of working in corporate and small business marketing for small and mid-sized businesses. In 2012 she launched District M Creative as a web and creative studio in an effort to bridge a marketing gap that small business owners faced when trying to launch their companies, and as a way to be home with her daughter and continue the work that she was so passionate about. Rachel is best known for her out-of-the-box thinking, her genuine interest in seeing her clients succeed, and being a voice for working mothers and the small business community.

A strong advocate for women who work, Rachel is proud to hold official WOSB certification and continues to shape the future of District M Creative within the private and federal sectors as an accomplished marketing, web and SharePoint firm.

Rachel received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from James Madison University, and her passion is supporting small business owners while encouraging young professionals and women to pursue their career goals. When Rachel is not working, you will find her spending time with her family, and renovating her house.
